Orthosilicic acid, Si(OH)₄, is the plant-available form of silicon. FertiQi produces stabilised orthosilicic acid at 2.56% Si(OH)₄, stabilised to stay in its monomeric form. We supply it to licensed growers, cannabis social clubs, fertilizer brands and distributors – in retail sizes, in bulk and under your own label.
What stabilised orthosilicic acid is
Plants take up silicon as orthosilicic acid. The problem is that orthosilicic acid is not stable in a concentrated solution: it links together into larger silicon molecules that plants cannot use directly. That is why most silicon products contain silicon in another form, which first has to be converted in the root zone or substrate.

Why growers use orthosilicic acid
Silicon is a beneficial element for many crops, and its role in plant biology has been studied for decades – see for example the classic review The anomaly of silicon in plant biology (Epstein, PNAS 1994). Growers add it for stronger plant structure and to help plants deal with stress. Because stabilised orthosilicic acid is already in the plant-available form, it is used in all systems – coco, soil, hydro and aeroponics – usually as a fixed part of the feeding program from early growth to flowering.

Direct from the producer
We produce in-house in Vilassar de Mar near Barcelona and ship from our warehouse in Wachtendonk, Germany. Every batch is independently tested. Because you buy directly from the producer, you pay for the active compound – not for brand marketing and distributor margins on top.

What is the difference with other silicon products?
